Background


I earned my Ph.D. at Virginia Polytech and joined the faculty at Suffolk University in Boston in 1986. In the Fall 1988 term I joined the UM-Dearborn faculty. I teach microeconomics and quantitative methods. My research focuses on poverty, welfare programs, and health (especially obesity).
