Dr. Sonia M. Tiquia, Assistant Professor of Microbiology, and her students, presented their research findings at the American Society for Microbiology Regional Meeting held on the UM-D campus on October 8, 2005.

The meeting was followed by a poster competition. Two of her research students received awards for their posters:
