CIS 479/579 Assignment 6
Summer 2020
Your last assignment will involve the development of a chatbot. In this assignment, you need to reengineer a subset of your rule-based system as a chatbot question and answer system that handles a classification or diagnostic task. Your chatbot needs to handle at least 5 of the rules (10 if you work with a partner). If you work with a partner each person is to be assigned a percentage grade (by each team member) indicating the extent of his or her project contribution.
You may implement your chatbot using Watson or Pandorabot or any other chatbot creation tool if you get my approval. If you wish to change the domain of your project you must have me approve your new topic.
You will need to turn in an annotated listing of your chatbot design, sample output, and a memo documenting your system. You must include in this memo, a description of your inference strategy. Comments on the performance of your chatbot relative to your test cases would also be appropriate.
You may not drop out of a team once you make the commitment to work with other another person.
