CIS 488/588 Project 2
Winter 2016

For your term project, you will need to work as part of team to design and implement a complete computer game based on one of the pitch documents selected by the students at UMD. Graduate students may work on their own. Your game needs to have a reasonable storyline for its genre. Your game will need to make use of multimedia components in a non-trivial manner. You will need to include some non-trivial use of game AI as part of your final game.

This assignment will give you an opportunity to begin work on the specification and design of your game. Your team’s game does not have to be original, but you should not copy an existing game. To receive full credit your design document will need to contain non-trivial sections as defined below.

Figure that you will have 15-20 minutes to explain your game concept and get feedback from your classmates. I will provide review forms that your team will need to turn in with revised game design document on 2-05-16. The design document due at the end of the semester will need to make use of the Baldwin Game Design Document Template. You might want to start using and maintaining this document format as your game design evolves.
