Ahhh, Suburbia!

Well, let's start with the basics. My name is Carlin Bjork Blanton. I am the son of two proud parents. I was born in '79, it was a good year, I just don't really remember it. Born and raised in suburban, South-East Michigan, or the Downriver area if you know it.

I was lucky enough to have experianced public school, and I am honest in saying that, it had a great deal to do with who I am now and my understanding of how life really is, not the sugar-coated fantasies that over-protective parents have forced on their children, warping their perspective.

I am a pretty smart kid, 3.8 high school GPA, 29 ACT, National Honor Society and all that jazz. I was involved in various activites throughout high school, of which I will spare you the details. I was in the Symphony Band at school, played the Baritone. I loved the hell out of that class. I still play music, but its a little different now. I play Bass guitar, and I am part of a band called Lo-Life right now. An original band. Kinda like Rage Against The Machine, Orange 9mm, Downset, shit like that.

Currently I am an unemployed, 18 year old, SWM. I go to school at the University of Michigan - Dearborn campus. I am majoring in Chemical Engineering and hope to one day destroy the world. Well, maybe not that last part...

I enjoy partying hard, hanging out with my friends, doing whatever. I love playing my Bass and jamming with people. I obviously know about computers cause I wouldn't pay someone to type this shit up. All in all, I am the kind of guy that won't be top in class, but while your studying, I'll be experiancing life and enjoying it before its too late.

I like all kinds of music, no one style in particular. Some of my favorites are;Pink Floyd, Primus, Deftones, RATM, Tool, Led Zepplin, Downset, Limp Bizkit, and Black Sabbath. A varied list, which is a good thing. All music styles have something different to offer.

I decided to also use this space to tell you a little about my religion, mostly because I am not of your normal, mainstream, part of the flock religion. If I were asked my religion, I would say Satanist. I am not an official member of the Church, but I am a practicing member. We all are in a way, we just deny it by professing belief in a higher being and making ourselves feel guilty for things that are just human nature.

Many people have the wrong impression of a Satanist though. My Satanic beliefs are the same os those of the Church of Satan, founded by Anton Szandor LaVey. It is not about sacrificing animals and people and drinking blood and breaking the law. It is essentially humanism. Instead of always denying yourself joys in life so you don't sin, which we all do and cannot avoid, it is about indulging these desires. I will not take up more space explaining. I have included here a link to a page that will totally describe the basics of Satanism. It is a document originally created for military chaplains and explains the beliefs of the Church of Satan in a short space.

I guess that I have said all I need to say about me. I decided to add this, just to let the world, or those who care, know a little about me. Don't we all want to be known, to be seen, to be recognized, to know that we are really hear, and not observers, never to be acknowledged.

In this new world of the Internet and computers, we need to exist and be recognized digitally. I somehow feel better having written this page. Even if no one else cares to read this, I know it exists, that I exist. Deep thinking is good for you. Writing this page got me thinking, maybe you...maybe not.
