What A Bunch Of Bastards!
Primus
You just called me a bastard, didn't
you?
I have only seen Primus in concert once, which is nowhere near enough
times for me. They have only played the Detroit area several times
since I've discovered their amazing music.
One of the biggest turn-ons to them, for me, was hearing Les Claypool
play that bass. He was my inspiration to learn to play bass guitar. I
think that Les is by far the best bass guitarist out
there right now. He is capable of playing any style music and making it
sound good. He can slap, thump, pick, or just play a simple little
background riff, but no matter what he plays, it will blow your mind.
Almost everyone has heard at least one song by Primus. Probably 'My Name
Is Mud' or 'Wynnona's Big Brown Beaver'. Both of them are good songs, but
those two alone give you no idea of how good Les is and the others are.
In my opinion, 'Frizzle Fry' is one of their best tapes,
and one of their oldest. It is a hell of a tape which does show off many
styles that Primus can play. The song 'Frizzle Fry' is a cool ass song. I
would reccomend this tape to anyone who hasn't heard Primus before.
