Brucie and Linda

All About Brucie Wayne:

As you've already learned, yes, I'm Bruce Wayne. I am a Shih Tzu who was born on Memorial Day, May 26, 2003. I grew up with a wonderful lady named Helen and her family, who lived with my parents - Cody and Cady. Helen and her family raised me, my brother and three sisters.

My new Mumma and Girl's neighbor - Linda - met my parents at the pet store one day. She found out that I had been born and told the girls about these nice Shih-Tzu dogs she'd met who had puppies. Because of Linda, my girls came to find me and take me to my new home.

How did I get my name?

My first name was "Half-N-Half" because I was "half like Cady and half like Cody" in personality and temperment. These days, my Girl will say my name is "Sweet-N-Sour" instead! But, of course, I was named Brucie. I was almost named Freddy Krueger (since my step-brother was Norman Bates after all). Then, they thought maybe I could be either Louis Winthorp III or Mortimer Duke from the movie, Trading Places but in the end, I became Brucie. See, my Girl loves Batman and the Michael Keaton portrayal of and Bruce Wayne!

I'm a "lover boy" so if you will let me hug you, we can sit for a long time and just relax together. I love my naps with Mumma! As a puppy, I would give chase (me running from you!), but I also used to like just watching my siblings have at it. They were very funny to watch!

I can do tricks!

I know how to shake, sit pretty and sneeze for a treat. I'm also very good at walking on my hind-legs only and posing for a camera (when I want to). I can roll over, with some help, and will also wave at you... when the mood strikes.

Other factoids about me:

  • I LOVE coffee.
  • I want to suck on (feed?) Dinosaur or Hippo (my babies) after I eat.
  • I demand a morning and afternoon nap!
  • I don't like to wear doggy t-shirts or hats.
  • My favorite of all my babies is Ringo!
