Physics 100 is a survey course designed for the non-science major which will introduce the student to basic physics with applications to everyday phenomena. Emphasis will be placed on the philosophical, historical, and practical aspects of physics. Students will be expected to show mastery of the material on exams and quizzes by answering multiple choice questions, writing essays, and solving simple problems.  Some of the topics covered are represented in the figure below which is taken from the course textbook..
