I am looking for a couple of motivated PhD students interested in security research. Please send your resume, transcripts and/or published research materials to me or drop by my office if you are already enrolled in CECS PhD program.

I am an Associate Professor at the CIS department of University of Michigan-Dearborn, where I lead the Security and Forensics Research Laboratory (SAFE  Lab). I obtained my PhD degree from the University of California, Irvine in 2009. I was with IBM Almaden Research Center (Summer 2008) and Institute for Infocomm Research, Singapore (2000~2005). Here is my CV.

I am broadly interested in the general area of security, privacy, and applied cryptography. My research spans a wide range of topics, including computation over authenticated/encrypted data, fine-grained access control, secure storage systems, wireless network security, smartphone security and privacy, and so on. My research is supported by NSF, AFOSR, and Intel.
