The Case for Determinism- Holbach

• Meaning of determinism.
• Human beings are an integral part of nature. They are, like any other natural object, subject to the laws of nature.
• There are different types of natural law.
• Human beings can not deviate from the course of nature (its laws).

I was formed without my knowledge or consent. I did not choose my body, ideas, emotions, habits, mind ... in short, what I am .Again, I am always, in whatever I do, under the influence of some factors or force - physical, social, or psychological.

- As always, the stronger factor or force predetermines in its influence.

- Next, all these factors, or forces act according to certain laws.

Next, does one choose to be foolish, studious, lazy, prudent.

Question is the human "will" an originator of action?

Next what does it mean to choose? Do we choose our actions?

Freedom : the sense of freedom comes from our ignorance of the causes which at on us?

But are my object. I can design an action or a project and implement it.

Again freedom consists in the removal of external factors or forces...

Determine by external or internal forces.

Itch for self or self determinism.

Want to be free from family, society. Powers that are mine. Is this an illusion? Or in fact we are not.

Millions of factors develop since birth. Society, culture, family.
