The Badlands

The Badlands is a very strange place. It's kind of like a mini canyon, except very hilly. All the hills are made out of mud and clay, not rock. This means that even though they are hard enough not to wash away, they are very susceptible to the weather. Because of this, they are constantly changing. The Badlands are home to a diverse number of animals, including the endangered Black-Footed Ferret. Unfortunately, we didn't spend much time there, se we didn't see much more than a deer. Here is a picture that show the typical terrain of the Badlands.
