Columbia River Gorge

This is a really beautiful river. It runs along the border of Oregon and Washington. The gorge is very beautiful to drive along. In some places, there are only hills on the sides of the river. At other places, there are huge rocky walls. You can see all types of ships traveling up and down the river, especially tugboats. The gorge is also a very popular place for wind surfing. I must have saw 1000 wind surfers spread out at verious points along the river. At one place, there were well over 100 wind surfers racing back and forth across the river. In the picture below, if you look carefully, you can see Mt. Hood in the center background.
