The Garden of the Gods

This is a pretty interesting site, about an hour South of Denver. The whole place was once privately owned by some guy. He thought it was so beautiful, he wanted to make sure everyone could see it for free. He didn't want somebody charging people to see it, so in his will, he donated it to the city of Colorado Springs. The whole place is filled with red colored rocks. It's actually pretty cool to walk around in. There are some really interesting designs that formed naturally into the rocks. At one place, at the top of the rock (a couple of hundred feet high) is a design that looks like about a dozen screaming faces of tormented souls. Kinda spooky! It could even be another tabloid story.
"Ancient Carvings Made By Extraterrestrials"
I could see it now. Anyway, here's a picture (sorry, I don't have one of the tourmented souls).

Entrance to Garden of the Gods. Pike's Peak in the center.
