Grand Tetons

The Grand Tetons are neither the tallest nor the biggest mountains. What makes them so unique, though, is that they stick out like a sore thumb. They rise up out of the middle of nowhere, with no foothills. They are also very rough and jagged, more like mountains found on other continents than most other mountain chains in North America.
