Cool Sites
Check out these sites to kick back and have
some fun!
- Yahoo Games: Kick back with a little
euchre or do a crossword puzzle
- Disney: I guess it's the kid in me (or the fact that I have a young daughter), but
I had to link to all things Disney!
- Hot Net Coupons: Check here before you buy something online to get the latest
promotions, sales or special offers.
- Urban Legends Reference Site: Before you pass on that virus warning or story about
hypodermic needles in a playland, please check here to make sure it's true!
- Billy Joel's web site: Check out information on one of the best performers touring today.
- General Motors: We've always had GM cars in my family (possibly because my dad worked
for GM). Recently, we found perks unrelated to cars in the Family First program.
- Intel Corporation: Home of the world's largest chip manufacturer,
The Journey Inside is a pretty cool educational program.
- MapQuest Interactive Map System: Detailed directions from almost anywhere to almost
anywhere
- Microsoft: The behemoth in the computer world, the Knowledge Base will
help you debug the inevitable illegal operations and blue screen of deaths you'll receive.
- NASA: Not just for rocket scientists! The
Webcasts are especially cool.
- BlueMountain.com: Send an e-card with or without a gift certificate to brighten
someone's day!
- The Smithsonian Institute: This site houses all of the Smithsonian sites, from the
Air and Space Museum to the National Gallery. Check out the Oral History Collection
for a look at some uncommonly good interviews.
- Ticketmaster: The ubiquitous site for concerts, shows, etc. One cool thing is that
you can do is purchase gift certificates that the recipient can redeem for any show.
- U.S. Postal Service: Yes, as in the good old mail delivery.
Find a zip code, calculate postage, or just take
care of everything online.
- The White House: I was surprised to see that the site hadn't been redone in
southwestern colors. Check out the workings of our government or send a message to
George and the gang.
