I hauled debris to Calvert's using Kyle's folks' trailer. I also positioned a fiberglass shower in the laundry room (anticipating the inevitable), after removing some door jambs.

The first little gable built had to be raised so that the plane of the new addition hits on the new ridge properly.

Next the rafters march forward to meet the extruded old ridge board. Note the transition from the plate on the old roof to the free-standing valley board. Once there, the sheathing goes on, the collar ties reach from side to side, the last bit of sheathing, AND the first skylight.

My job to remove the shingles from where the saddle will go. In the meantime, John and Joe push the framing and sheathing of the front bath and attic spaces.

On the weekend the boys get put to work removing shingles...
