We are interested in improving the understanding and technical skills of students in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology lecture and laboratory classes. Students cannot solve research-oriented problems without a solid understanding of the research techniques available.
We believe an interactive tool that teaches theory by description and examples, and demonstrates real techniques in a visual video format, is a relevant and exciting way for students to learn. While this method is commonly used in other areas, it has not yet been developed for undergraduate training in this area. We have partially developed this tool, and would like to complete and evaluate a prototype.
