PubMed - Links to participating online journals. Access to over 10 million citations. Enter last name and initials to search. The results show a date and source along with a small summary. You need to order the full page for most, but some publications, such as BMJ, are free and available online. It also lists broad coverage journals such as New England Journal of Medicine and JAMA.

DOI Stands for Digital Object Identifier. to locate electronically ex. doi: 10.0000/science.0000000
Pmid Stands for PubMed identification Example: PMID: 00000000
PII Stands for publisher item identifier. It, too, identifies the article and can be used for search and retrieval.
OVID UM-MEDSEARCH UM-MEDSEARCH Ovid Medline. This is the good one that refines the search and displays the results, but I can't log on from home.
Deep Blue UMICH Access to articles from UofM community.
PuB Med's MeSH Tutorials for searching with Pub Med's MeSH Database
Mardigian Library University of Michigan - Dearborn Mardigian Library. Through this site I am able to download some articles from home.

NCBI Book Search
NCBI BOOK SEARCH - Excellent site! Tool that allows you to search very good books for info. For example, when searching for “Wnt,” 13 books appear with links to each. After clicking the link for a particular book, more links will appear listing all the pages within the book with information on the Wnt signaling pathway.
