I am interested in applied mathematics, and more specifically, in imaging. My expertise is in computed tomography, numerical analysis and scientific computing.
Part of my research has been dedicated to various types of computed tomography (CT) techniques. CT is a set of different technologies
used to produce images of the interior of non-transparent objects (some of the most well known examples are X-ray CT and MRI). A unifying feature of all these
diverse technologies is that the images are not created directly my the imaging system, but are computed using intricate mathematical procedures. The mathematical problems arising
in CT are part of the general area of inverse problems.
I have worked on computed tomography methods used in medical imaging and national defense. A list of my publications is available here: CV.
