Dr. Twiner started at the University of Michigan in Dearborn, Michigan in 2009. Prior to coming to UM-D, he spent eight years at the NOAA Center for Environmental and Biomolecular Research laboratory in Charleston, South Carolina, USA. He received his Ph.D. and B.Sc. from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada. His background is in environmental toxicology and pharmacology, biochemistry, pollution and productivity in aquatic systems, and toxin trophic transfer.
